Louis Moinet CEO and creative director Jean-Marie Schaller will be an honourable guest at the Prestige Watch Fair in Nagoya, Japan which runs from Saturday, November 19th through Wednesday, November 23rd.
The fair will take place at the Nagoya-Matsuzakaya Department Store as parts of its 400th birthday celebrations.
The roots of the store – Japan’s oldest – date back to 1611, when Yudo Ito opened a kimono and clothing shop in the city which became renowned for its high-quality garments. The business stayed in the Ito family for generations and in 1768 they decided to expand, purchasing the Matsuzakaya store in Tokyo.
The rest, as the say, is history and nowadays the chain operates large stores in most of Japan’s major cities, still carrying a reputation for high quality as well as careful management.
Its largest store is in Nagoya where Louis Moinet and Jean-Marie Schaller look forward to welcoming you at the Prestige Watch Fair.
