Memoris Scarab – Natural Originality
The dial is a marquetry composed of 12 Sternocera Aequisignata scarab beetle elytra elements. This Indonesian beetle has an exceptionally beautiful brilliant metallic green colour.
The particularly difficult crafting process aims to preserve the natural curvature and the homogeneous colours.
In ancient Egypt, the beetle was the incarnation of the sun god, who is reborn every morning. We have the greatest admiration for the natural world and it goes without saying that no beetles are killed to create our artworks.
