Astralis - Unique piece - Moon

Astralis Moon is a unique piece representing the Moon, the Earth’s only known natural satellite and the fifth largest satellite in our Solar System.

Astralis Moon features a 24-hour planetarium housing exceptional meteorites, each symbolising important galactic bodies: Mars, Mercury, the Sun and, of course, the Moon.

Regulated by an intricately-engineered tourbillon, Astralis Moon also features a split-second, column-wheel chronograph, its complex mechanism beguiling the viewer through the display back.

The planetarium at 6 o’clock contains four highly-polished precious meteorites – Dhofar 459, Itqiy, Sahara 99555 and Jiddat al Harasis 479 – respectively denoting the Earth’s Moon, the Sun and the planets Mercury and Mars.

These fragments of rare galactic rock are all unique, set into a scintillating aventurine disc that makes one whole revolution per day.

Across the dial, between 11 and 12 o’clock, is the 60-second tourbillon escapement mounted in a rotating cage majestically supported by a highly-polished, Y-shaped bridge.

Gilded Gouttes de Rosée hands indicate hours and minutes while the central chronograph seconds hand is complemented by a split-second chronograph hand adorned with a shooting star, the pusher for which is integrated into the crown. At 3 o’clock is a 30-minute chronograph counter.

The ensemble of indications is framed within the regal 18k white gold case while the bezel and lugs are dazzlingly set with 66 Top Wesselton VVS Baguette diamonds.

Turning Astralis Moon over, the chronograph column wheel and split-second ‘scorpion’ clamps – providing ultra smooth functionality – can be glimpsed through the display back along with a plate engraved with planets which, together with the gold chaton and blued screws, evoke a beautiful night sky.

Astralis Moon is presented in a resin-cast planetoidal box, handcrafted by artist Jean-Yves Kervévan. The quartet of Astralis unique pieces – Mars, Mercury, Moon and Sun – is housed in a stylish, leather-bound wooden cabinet.
